As mentioned in the title, the life of a content creator seems glamorous from the outside. But they always try to put their best foot forward. That implies their lives are filled with hardships like any other being. But rising above every hardship gives incredible results to them. Dakota Wint has been in the content creation game for a very long time. He has worked hard day and night to achieve the place he is in today. Now he has over half a million subscribers on his YouTube platform.
The biggest challenges that he has faced in his life are discussed ahead. The prime challenge for him was escaping the grey coldness of Detroit poverty. He says, “It’s not an easy feat to go to the furthest corners of the world and hope everything works out”. Most of his life is uncertain. He is not sure where or what he will be doing tomorrow. This complicates all his relationships. He is constantly on the move and that is difficult to lead a stable life. But he believes, travelling and being on the move always, is also a blessing. To be constantly on move means to be surrounded by incredible people that he would have never had the opportunity to meet otherwise. Filming himself and putting his life online has been a challenge, also.
His entire life for the past 10 years is online, but filming himself and putting his life, travels, growing, bad times, good times online has been a challenge, as maintain a social life is not always easy. Putting a life open on social media is both thrilling and also a reason for anxiety and depression. On one end, having an audience to listen to the stories, but on the other side, constantly having people objectifying, generalizing and simplifying is a difficult position to be in. He adds “Whether it’s praise or hate, they are most likely basing it off some ancient video or a small sliver of your life that you’ve decided to share. I have found having your life on display is the most fun and worst adventure simultaneously.”
Dakota Wint has discovered there is more to learn about this world, especially spiritually, as a result of his interactions with many tribes and his participation in their rituals.
